Noida Selects Bird Group
for Ground Handling
Noida International Airport has
entered into a concession agreement
with Bird Group to provide ground
handling resources and services at
the airport.
Bird Group, an Indian company,
and hydrant fueling system at Houston
George Bush InterContinental
Airport (IAH) in Texas.
The long-term contract with the
brings more than 50 years of experience
and a footprint of aviation services
spanning 21 airports in India.
In line with the airport's aspiration
towards net zero carbon emissions,
Bird Group will ensure that all
ground support equipment (GSE) will
be electric-powered.

historical moment. To be the first
ground handling provider at the
capital's second airport is a very significant
milestone in our journey. We
are committed towards setting new
benchmarks for service delivery and
sustainability by introducing newer
processes and technologies, " said

Uplift International and
Ostend-Bruges Airport Unite
for Sustainable Aviation
Belgian aviation fuel supplier
Uplift International has
taken over all fuel activities at
Ostend-Bruges Airport.
" With the acquisition of TNA Services
by Uplift, we welcome a team
of aviation fuel experts committed
to reducing the CO2
emissions of our
airport, " said CEO of Ostend-Bruges
Airport Eric Dumas.
The acquisition provides new
opportunities for the further development
of the airport, with a strong
emphasis on sustainability.
" Our ambition to accelerate the
transition to sustainable aviation is
an integral part of our operations.
We are committed to introducing the
supply of sustainable aviation fuels
and investing in the renovation and
expansion of our fuel infrastructure
using environmentally friendly
technologies, " says Pieter Van Espen,
managing director at Uplift.
Menzies Aviation
Appointed to Manage IAH
Fuel Farm in Houston
Menzies Aviation has been appointed
to manage and operate the fuel farm
airport's fuel consortium of airline
partners, IAH Fuel Company, will see
a dedicated team of almost 40 Menzies
employees maintain the facility.
IAH recently undertook a $65M
upgrade of its fuelling operations.
This expansion of Menzies' fuelling
services portfolio strengthens
the company's position as one of the
largest fuel farm operators in North
America. Menzies currently manages
56 facilities across the US and
Canada on behalf of a variety of airline
consortiums and airports.
Neste to Supply SAF to
Air New Zealand at LAX
Neste and Air New Zealand have
signed an agreement for the supply
of 9 million liters (around 7,200 tons
or 2.4 million gallons) of neat Neste
MY Sustainable Aviation Fuel. The
agreement represents the largest
purchase of sustainable aviation fuel
(SAF) from Neste made by any airline
outside North America and Europe
for delivery before the end of 2024.
The agreement follows an earlier
SAF delivery to Air New Zealand in
2022. The sustainable aviation fuel
will be produced at Neste's Singapore
refinery, which expanded its SAF
production capability last year and
is currently ramping up SAF production.
The neat SAF will be blended
with conventional jet fuel to meet
the required fuel specifications and
supplied to Los Angeles International
Airport between April 1 and
Nov. 30, 2024.
