Swissport Adds Forwarder
Handling in Germany
Following the expansion of the partnership with JAS
Worldwide at Frankfurt Airport, Swissport now provides
freight forwarder handling in Germany. The new service
complements Swissport's existing portfolio of air cargo
services for airlines and will be rolled out globally across
the company's network.
With the launch of forwarder handling, Swissport
is expanding its service offering in the German cargo
market. Since Jan. 15, Swissport has become JAS's sole
cargo handling agent for Frankfurt Airport (FRA).

SAS Partners with WFS for
Cargo Handling in Boston
Scandinavian Airlines (SAS) has
awarded a cargo handling contract
to Worldwide Flight Services (WFS)
at a fourth major airport gateway in
North America.
The new three-year agreement
will see WFS, a member of SATS
Group, handle cargo onboard SAS
flights to and from Boston. The
airline now offers daily Airbus
A350 flights between the New
England city and the Danish capital,
Copenhagen.
WFS expects to handle more than
8 million kilograms of cargo a year
on SAS's Boston operations, including
high volumes of perishables.
Boston now joins Los Angeles,
New York JFK and San Francisco as
airports in the U.S. where WFS and
SAS have partnered together.

NextGen Ground Handling
Service Adds Four Airports
NextGen GHS has expanded to four
new locations, adding operations in
Austin, Texas (AUS); Portland, Oregon
(PDX), Richmond, Virginia (RIC) and
Seattle, Washington (SEA). Combined
with its existing operations in Billings,
Montana (BIL) and Providence, Rhode
Island (PVD), NextGen GHS now offers
its ground handling services in six
airport locations.
NextGen GHS provides a full range
of services, from package sorting
to ULD consolidation, deconsolidation
services to aircraft loading and
unloading to meet the unique needs
of its clients. In addition, NextGen
GHS offers a ground support equipment
(GSE) fueling service.

DG Fuels Chooses Johnson
Matthey and BP Technology
for SAF Production Plant
Johnson Matthey (JM) has announced
that DG Fuels has selected its Fischer
Tropsch (FT) CANS technology -
co-developed with BP - for DG Fuels'
first sustainable aviation fuel (SAF)
plant in St. James Parish, Louisiana.
DG Fuels is an emerging leader
in renewable hydrogen and biogenic
based, synthetic SAF and diesel
fuel. The proposed $4 billion DG
Fuels plant is planned to produce
600,000 metric tons of SAF per year
when fully operational and would
be the largest announced SAF production
plant using a non-HEFA
route. DG Fuels is planning 10 more
SAF production plants across the
United States.
The fuel at the Louisiana plant is
expected to be produced from waste
biomass. DG Fuels is projected to
purchase around $120 million of
sugar cane waste annually. JM and
BP's FT CANS technology converts
the synthesis gas derived from this
biomass to synthetic crude, which is
then further processed to produce
the synthetic kerosene that is then
blended with conventional jet fuel to
produce SAF.
The plant is expected to start production
by 2028.
