The MCI D45 CRT LE
Commuter Coach available now and
coming in all-electric in 2020
The all-new MCI D45 CRT LE represents
the industry's most accessible Commuter Coach. The revolutionary new model
features a second door mid-coach with
a patent-pending, low-entry vestibule,
providing unparalleled accessibility for
all passengers.

MODERN GOOD LOOKS
Delivering eye-catching curb appeal, the
MCI D45 CRT LE features comfortable
forward-facing seating and options such
as onboard Wi-Fi, electrical outlets and
video monitor systems.

MEETING EVERY STANDARD
ADA and Buy America compliant and Altoona tested, MCI's next-generation Commuter Coach has a shorter turning radius
than the current MCI D-Series models to
better navigate city streets, and plenty
of horsepower for hills and highways.
Enhanced interior illumination and new
optional LED headlights are brighter to
enhance visibility for off-weather daytime
conditions and night driving. A wider front
door with an ergonomic spiral entryway
also features enhanced illumination on
the stairwell.

MCI's timeelapsed video
comparing
the process
of securing a
passenger with a
mobility device
in a MCI D45
CRT LE versus
a standard,
high floor,
over-the-road
coach shows
the process to
be less stressful
and much faster.

ALL-ELECTRIC
The battery-electric MCI D45 CRTe LE
CHARGE, planned for 2020, will roll off
the line with a high-torque Siemens 2130
LB FT Electric Drive System and a target
range of 200 miles, serving long-distance commuters in an environmentally
friendly manner. And every single new
MCI CHARGE model features a half century of New Flyer electric propulsion and
charging solution know-how. New Flyer
and MCI's combined expertise guarantees
reliability and will help usher in a new era
of electric public transit.

SIGNIFICANTLY SHORTER
DWELL TIMES
Additionally, the low-entry vestibule features an automated retractable (6:1) sloped
ramp, rated to 1,000 lbs. To illustrate the
significantly shorter dwell times delivered
by this new system, MCI has created a timeelapsed video comparing the process of
securing a passenger with a mobility device
in a MCI D45 CRT LE versus a standard, high
floor, over-the-road coach. The process is
less stressful and much faster. When designing this coach, MCI sought the input of
a broad range of passengers, including users of mobility devices. Their participation
guided the low-floor entry and vestibule
design, creating a versatile, comfortable,
Commuter Coach for regional communities
looking to provide the best solution for all
their transit users, now and in the future.
