A letter from Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer.
Welcome! On behalf of the city of
Orlando, it is my pleasure to welcome
you to The City Beautiful for
the American Public Transportation
Association TRANSform Conference
& EXPO. We're thrilled to be hosting
this event.
The last several months have been
incredibly difficult as the pandemic has
impacted us all. I am grateful that our
community is now able to safely host events like this.
Your event is set in one of the country's most dynamic cities. With a
vibrant dining scene, first-rate hotels, diverse arts and cultural opportunities,
endless shopping options and many outdoor activities, Orlando
has so much to offer.
I invite you to explore our community during your visit. You probably
know that Orlando is America's most-visited destination, but there
is so much more. We're proud that our city is diverse, inclusive and
welcoming, which is reflected in our 10 Orlando Main Streets districts,
which are filled with unique restaurants and shops. Downtown Orlando
is experiencing an entertainment and sports renaissance thanks to venues
like the Amway Center and Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing
Arts, plus our community's crown jewel, Lake Eola Park.

Mayor
Having served as mayor since 2003, Buddy Dyer has worked to shape Orlando into
a vibrant, future-ready community where unity and partnership are the keys to helping
every city resident thrive.
Mayor Dyer is the current chairman of the LYNX Board of Directors and is an
advocate for the expansion of mobility options.
Advances under his leadership include SunRail, Central Florida's first commuter
rail system that launched in 2014, and an increase to the city's bike trail network. He
has also made sustainability a priority for the city of Orlando to ensure that Orlando
continues to be a desirable place to live, work and play.
