security. Peel joined Transdev in
August 2015 as safety and training
director for the paratransit contract
with the Washington Metropolitan
Area Transit Authority in greater
Washington, D.C. From there, she
was promoted in early 2018 to regional safety director, Northeast region. Peel joined the transit industry
in 2012 and worked for a competitor
in the greater Washington, D.C.,
area for three years prior to joining
Transdev. She has a degree in Justice Studies from Georgia Southern
University and holds several industry
certifications, including becoming a
CTAA Certified Safety and Security
Officer and obtaining a General
Industry Certification from OSHA.

Transmission has launched its

Perini, was awarded a $403.5-million
contract by the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority's Fiscal and Management Control Board to build the New

signal and communication system.

returned to
NEXT to once
Waits
again serve as
CEO of the organization. As the current CEO for
National Express School, Waits will
transition into the role of CEO of
NEXT starting Sept. 1 and manage
both functions. At that time, he will
begin to oversee both divisions of
National Express, LLC (NELLC).
With more than 20 years of experience in the transportation industry,
Waits has held various leadership positions within multiple
organizations, including National
Express as divisional CEO of NEXT,
chief operating officer of the East
area of operations, chief financial
officer and treasurer of NELLC, and
most recently, CEO of National Express School. Since joining, he has
continued to show dedication and
a shared commitment to the core
values that have guided NELLC for
more than 100 years.
