Q: How has using this tool impacted
your shop's profitability?
A: It allows having multiple capabilities in
one machine versus multiple machines.
Q: What kind of setup was involved
before using the product?
A: It involved the basic setup of the gas line
and regulator, as well as simple connections
of either the stick rod holder or MIG
gun. The welder is capable of TIG with
the optional TIG torch and if desired, the
foot pedal.
Q: How easy was it to use?
A: The controls are very easy to understand
and operate.
Q: How was its packaging? Did it
come with any accessories?
A: Packaging is well done and comes with
the standard stick and MIG accessories.
TIG is an optional add-on along with the
spool gun for aluminum MIG welding. A
power supply cord is included along with the

Welder, No. 410, features a
high welding capacity of 1/2 " and 220A
of welding power, making it ideal for
use on steel, stainless steel, cast iron,
and aluminum (with spool gun). It offers
dual-voltage (120V/240V) input power.
Additionally, the welder is rugged and
technologically advanced with a digital
display, all-metal drive system, and has
a three-year warranty.

Q: Was there
a manual

A: Yes, a manual is included and is easy
to understand. The information about
the machine is clear and accurate.
Q: What features did you like?
A: I like that it is a multi-process machine,
and the power output is great. Dual voltage
is a huge plus for when you may not have
access to a 240V plugin.
Q: Is there any way you could think
to improve or add to this tool?
A: It would be a nice addition to include
a basic TIG torch. The ability to do A/C
TIG welding would be a huge plus.
Q: What types of jobs/repairs
did you use these tools for?
A: I used this welder to make some tool
holders. I used fairly light gauge material,
and the welder handled it with no problem.
Whether you need it for sheet metal
or structural material, this machine can
handle it.
Q: Have you used a previous version
of this tool? If so, what are some new
features compared to the old version?

A: I have not used any Forney products
before and was overall impressed with the
unit. It is comparable to other makes of
machines that offer multi-process in regard
to power output. It has a higher duty cycle
at max output than some multi-process
machines out there, which is a plus as it
keeps you welding longer.
Q: On a scale of 1 to 10, how would
you rate this tool overall? Why?
A: I would rate this at an eight for a multiprocess
machine due to the lack of A/C
output that a majority of similar machines
have. It functions well and seems to be
robust so far and well built.
