New Oral Cancer Just
Walked In
Saw this sweet elderly lady a couple of years ago. That's what the first two pics are. Told
her repeatedly to see OMS or someone or anyone for evaluation and biopsy. She is Church
of Scientology (or something like that) and they don't believe in medicine. Fast forward a
couple of years and she is now seeing an oncologist who asks me to remove a very loose
tooth. I knew she had cancer but had no idea it was this bad. She said she had been praying
it away ever since I told her about it but it didn't work. Apparently, the only reason she's
receiving treatment now is because she's having moderate pain. I have never seen anything
like this and hope I never do again. n

It's truly unfortunate that she didn't originally heed your advice. I hope for her sake that
the cosmetic and oral function damage is the extent of it. The fact she is now consulting with
an oncologist is somewhat reassuring. Hope it's not too late. n

Interesting. What kind of tumor? You'd think, if this were likely to metastasize, she
would have secondary sites all over her body by now, if she were even still alive. Do
you know what treatment they have planned? n
