The donation from Carestream Dental represents a renewed pledge to donate a total of $125,000 in $25,000 increments over the course of five years. Coupled with previous commitments, this donation will bring Carestream Dental's total contribution to the foundation to $300,000. The Foundation for Endodontics, the philanthropic arm of the American of Association of Endodontists, is celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2016. In honor of this milestone, it has allocated $1.6 million for grants, with approximately 45 percent of funding going to research and 55 percent going to education. Grants for research in regenerative endodontics, external and internal resorption and the endodontic/implant relationship are just a few of the ways the foundation supports the field of endodontics.
