smaller than the hole to get it out. You can accomplish that one of three ways: make the tooth smaller (section); make the hole bigger with a bur; or make the hole bigger with compressing bone. The reason we ever get teeth that crumble is we try to put too much pressure on a tooth before the object/hole difference is large enough. Small objects in large holes come out very easily.
