MESSAGE BOARD 2 Tunneling or Buccal Pouch? A Townie's posted case regarding grafting leads to a deeper discussion of implant treatments ewanka Post: 1 of 78 1/25/2024 Once the custom healing abutment is removed, the buccal gingival tissue appears thin. What is the best approach to perform a CTG in this situation? Should we simply create a pouch on the buccal side and place the CTG inside it, or should we make a tunnel from the side? ■ John Nosti Post: 7 of 78 2/13/2024 I can see the patient asking, " What is this dark area on my gum tissue? Do you have a photo taken with the correct settings? It seems like you used the headshot setting for the close-up. ■ Gotcha. So, a case similar to this? Now, I did fi nish this case; the patient's expectations were unrealistic and not in line with what I wanted, but the patient left happy, so there's that. Th e darker photo is to show the gray gingiva that is more visible in nonrefl ected photography/clinically. What problems do you see with this case? ■ toofache32 this case. ■ Post: 6 of 78 2/13/2024 I'm still trying to understand what is wrong with MAY 2024 | 25 | DENTALTOWN.COMhttp://www.DENTALTOWN.COM
