Management Software without the Catch

"About three years ago, I moved to Salt Lake with
my family to open a new practice. I had some 'musthaves' in my new management software: I needed a
solution that was native to Mac; I didn't want to be
at the mercy of my Internet provider; and I wanted
everything to be on a local machine so that if anything
went down, I could still have access to my charts, photographs, and all my other important information. So
I went with topsOrtho. It was just a natural choice.
"The unique thing about tops that I love is that
it was built around the Mac OS [operating system].
It's not a Windows product, retrofitted to work in a
Mac environment. It was built from the ground up by
programmers who know the OS, inside and out. It's

"In my other PC-based practice, I paid $800 to
$1,000 a month for IT guys to come out for constant
fixes. There were always updates that Microsoft came
out with-some of them very expensive-and when
you have to upgrade your operating system, you have
to wait for the PC-based program to update. The cost
