Introduction
This 10-year-old girl came in to my office with the chief complaint of "I want to move my
front teeth forward." Canines were impacted and posterior and anterior crossbite. My suggested
treatment plan was to expand with TAD-supported Hyrax, then use Facemask to create overjet.
What about canines? Is it preferable to extract C's before expansion, to allow canine to erupt
normally? Any thoughts are welcome. ■
