Planmeca Calm
(Correction Algorithm
for Latent Movement),
a proprietary Planmeca
algorithm, was created to
address doctors' concerns
about patient movement during 3-D scans. With Calm, the CBCT machine
can analyze and compensate for slight movements during scans to provide
improved diagnostic-quality images.
The feature, available for every new Planmeca ProMax 3D imaging
system, will streamline the imaging process by minimizing retakes while
improving diagnosis. The important benefit to patients: Fewer retakes
means less radiation while achieving better diagnostic images.
The Planmeca ProMax 3D family consists of a complete line of CBCT
imaging systems with optional digital 2-D panoramic and cephalometry in
the same unit.
