AAO Board of Trustees Seeks New Member The American Association of Orthodontists (AAO) board of trustees is seeking a member who graduated from their orthodontic residency no more than 15 years ago to serve a two-year term as trustee at large. The position is a full voting member of the board who represents the interests of the general membership. The trustee at large must be an active member of the AAO and not a previous constituent-elected trustee. The two-year term will begin at the close of the 2024 AAO Annual Session. Align Technology To Acquire Cubicure GmbH Align Technology is set to acquire Austrian company Cubicure, which develops, produces and distributes system solutions for the industrial 3D printing of polymer parts. The acquisition aims to strengthen Align's existing intellectual property portfolio and know-how in direct 3D printing of appliances. Integration with Cubicure is expected to extend and scale Align's printing, materials and manufacturing capabilities for its 3D-printed product portfolio. The roughly $84 million purchase will be subject to customary closing adjustments, as well as adjustments for Align's existing ownership of capital stock of Cubicure.
