Technologies: As a coach or athletic director, outfitting
your teams in the best products sends them the right
message. I coached high school and college football for 34
years, and I firmly believe taking care of the athletes goes
a long way toward having a successful program.
What specific problems/challenges does your
product solve?
Due to the high level of dryness drymax socks provide,
the issues from wet socks and wet feet are avoided. We
tell coaches they can practice their players longer and
harder without getting blisters, so their players can be in
better shape for games. Foot blisters are the most common
sports injury. Research indicates those suffering with
foot blisters are 50 percent more likely to experience an
additional and more serious training related injury. It's
simple: If you prevent blisters, you prevent injuries.
What sets you apart from similar products or
competitors?
Our competition uses hydrophilic wicking fibers like
polyester, nylon or acrylic to make their socks, and these
all get wet. That holds moisture against the skin leading
to problems like blisters, athlete's foot and odors. We use
super hydrophobic drymax fibers next to the skin. drymax
fibers do not like moisture so they stay dry, creating a
much better environment to protect the skin and feet.

Many times, I saw and felt for myself the ability of drymax
socks to keep feet dry on foggy mornings and even rainy
days. It seems that the worse the environment, the better
the drymax socks performed.
What kind of feedback have you received from
athletes, and how have your socks directly
influenced their performance?
Our biggest sock category is " running. " Many ultradistance
runners rely on drymax technology socks to keep
their feet dry and blister-free to help them set personal,
race, national and even world records. Two world records
set while wearing drymax socks are: The most miles run
in a 12-hour period by a man (101.66 miles), and the most
miles run in a 48-hour period by a woman (242.35 miles).
You cannot perform at your best if you have foot blisters.
We believe the increased comfort and protection
provided by wearing drymax socks also allows athletes to
better concentrate in practices and games.
How can drymax socks help athletes save money
in the long run?
I gave a pair of drymax socks to a freshman football
player to wear, and four years later he was excited to tell
me that he was still wearing the same pair of drymax
socks. Other socks are just not this durable. In sports like
hockey, skaters wearing drymax socks no longer need to
change out of their wet socks in the locker room between
periods, because drymax socks stay dry and can be worn
for the entire game. Not having to buy extra pairs of socks
saves money.
