Describe how your product helps coaches,
athletic directors or other sports industry
professionals.
Hudl helps athletic directors give their coaches and
athletes a platform to succeed. The modern studentathlete
lives online, and Hudl helps high school coaches
connect with their players using a medium that is familiar
to today's teens - video. A recent survey by Google found
that teens spend more than three hours a day watching
videos online. With the tools to capture, review and share
video, coaches can show their players how to improve.
What specific problems/challenges does your
product solve?
At a foundational level, Hudl helps coaches reinforce
teachable moments through video. They can show studentathletes
how they performed or what they should be
looking for.
Hudl Assist is our assisted breakdown service that saves
coaches hundreds of hours each season. Once game or
scout video is online, we break it down and send complete
stats and reports back to the team. These are more than
just box scores and percentages. Everything coaches get
back is interactive - with one click, they can review the
video that led to each stat.
Our newest product, Hudl Focus, addresses a common
need we hear from the coach community - finding a
capable cameraman to record games. They also have to
get the best angle available for performance review, which
isn't always possible from the bleachers. Our camera
system addresses both problems, helping coaches capture
great quality video without having to worry about a
cameraman.
What sets you apart from similar products or
competitors?
There are few things that set Hudl apart in the industry:
* Our end-to-end integration: From capture to analysis to
sharing, Hudl is the only solution that offers it all.

* Interactive reports: Numbers on a PDF don't give
coaches the full story. Our reports allow staffs to dive
deeper into the data and understand the moments that
led up to each stat.
* Who we work with: More than 16,000 high schools use
Hudl. Additionally, we work with hundreds of collegiate
and professional teams, including those in the NBA,
MLS and global leagues. This allows us to draw insights
from the pros to educate and inspire our expanding
community of coaches.
How quickly after/during a game can coaches
access video, and what services does Hudl offer
to help coaches who may be overwhelmed by the
technology?
If a coach is connected to Wi-Fi and recording with the
Hudl app or Hudl Focus, the video automatically uploads to
their account. They'll be able to review the whole game on
the bus ride home.
Our world-class support team is a phone call, email, chat
or tweet away. We also have a library of resources to get
coaches up and running anytime, and we offer free, online
training sessions throughout the year.
Hudl has come such a long way in helping
coaches analyze their teams. What does the
future hold, and what other developments are
you working on for coaches?
We're always looking for new solutions to help our
coaches, athletes and administrators do their jobs. One
pain point we heard from our coaches in the last few
years was around inconsistent video quality from their
cameras, and the time it takes to upload after a game. We
didn't think coaches should have to worry about these
operational aspects. This pushed us to create Hudl Focus.
Early feedback has been very positive and we're excited to
hear how it streamlines teams' video operations. Entire
districts are on board to give every team the same quality
of video. No one has to worry about filming.
