Livestreaming helps to grow and promote athletic programs and elevate

Regional High School in Whitman, Massachusetts, said of those
who did not attend live games during the pandemic.
Reading High School in Pennsylvania counts itself among the many
schools taking advantage of the livestreaming option, and head coach
Rick Perez raves about the exposure it gives his basketball program.
He knows there are a lot of options when it comes to livestreaming, but
the quality and ease of use made Hudl an easy choice.
" It was a good product before, but if I have a student or someone
filming those can sometimes get a bit comical, " Perez said. " It's not
the kind of product you want to put in the archives for history. But Hudl
provides a clean view of what's occurring, and it's something that you
can share for years to come. It's a major part of our program.
" For some of our games, we've had more than 10,000 views, " he
continued. " And when you look at that, we always say if there's one
viewer, there's at least three people behind that screen. Knowing
that we're able to reach that many people ... it's incredible. " It's no
secret that athletic budgets have been depleted in recent years, forcing
administrators to make cuts and identify new opportunities to generate
revenue. Monetizing livestreams is a way to bring revenue back into the
program. During the COVID-19 pandemic, schools that were equipped
with Focus were able to share and even monetize games that were
otherwise unattendable. This helped to reduce the impact a lack of ticket
sales might have had on athletic budgets. Schools have continued to use
Focus to make money off their livestream-through ways like obtaining
sponsorships from local businesses or deploying a pay-per-view option.
The end result has been an influx of revenue, engaged communities, and
fewer fundraisers.
