PAC MEMBERSHIP AND
LEADERSHIP CHANGES
MarketMaker's Policy Advisory Committee, or PAC,
offers recommendations in the areas of technology,
partnership relations, funding, marketing, and
enacting policy. Members are elected by a delegation
of MarketMaker partner states. A new PAC was put in
place in 2020, with Gary Matteson, SVP Beginning
Farmer Programs and Outreach with the Farm
Credit Council, chosen as the new chair.
Matteson, asked about his goals as chair, notes that he
" is the one who gets to implement the PAC's shared
goal to do a new strategic planning process " in 2021.
The process will include reaching out to users to find
out what they think and how they see MarketMaker
meeting their needs.
We thank Ray Hansen,
former director of AgMRC at Iowa State
University, for his long-time membership on
the PAC (from its inception in 2007) and for his
leadership as chair from 2013 to 2020.
