u Jardin, a unique boutique located in the heart
of historic downtown, provides a myriad of
merchandise: fine gifts, personal accessories,
home décor and furnishings for both indoors and outdoors.
Owner, Regina Eisenhower, opened Du Jardin
in 2008 and relocated in 2011 to " meet the demand
for more inventory and services. " She said Du Jardin
focuses specifically on " European home furnishings and
accessories not available in other stores. "
Inventory displays are updated frequently to reflect
trends and seasonal items. Shoppers walk in and are
greeted with pleasant aromas, furniture, local art,
beautifully crafted cutting boards and more. Eisenhower
noted her busy season is really two seasons -spring, with
customers shopping the garden lines and Thanksgiving
through the holidays.

merchandise within her retail store is impactful.
" Fredericksburg is known for its colonial and Civil War
history; it is a very busy town and stores are surrounded
by restaurants and other boutiques, " she said. Du Jardin's
location is well-suited for locals and tourists who walk the
downtown streets.
Eisenhower said fine European linens, and furniture
from Italy are top-sellers in her store. Sid Dickens wall
tiles, and a variety of garden products procured from
New England and Chicago are also very popular. She also
shared Christmas decorations from Germany, Sweden and
Austria are best-sellers for Eisenhower during the holiday
shopping season.
Customer service is of paramount importance to her and
everyone who enters the store is greeted with a smile and
kind words. Shoppers know when they come inside they
will have assistance with finding the perfect gift.
