Dramm Breaks Ground on New
Headquarters
Florensis and Ball Horticultural Co.
Acquire Diamantina Dipladenia/
Mandevilla
Florensis and Ball Horticultural Co. have acquired the
dipladenia/mandevilla breeding program from the French
company D.H.M. Innovation (DHMI).
Since 1985, DHMI has been active in the breeding of
dipladenia (mandevilla), lagerstroemia and hibiscus. In recent
years, innovations have been brought to market under the
Diamantina brand name, including the first dipladenia with
truly yellow flowers. This high-profile Diamantina Opal 'Citrine'
immediately became an IPM award winner and the new
version 2.0 is considered a dream variety for both producers
and consumers. The recently introduced Tourmaline Fuchsia is
also a strong addition to the Diamantina range.
Lannes, the current dipladenia producer, will reportedly
remain closely involved as a partner in the development of new
varieties, product forms and marketing concepts. In this way,
their years of experience and knowledge will be preserved for a
successful future.

The Dramm Corp. has begun construction of its new
headquarters in Manitowoc, Wisconsin.
The new 98,000 sq. ft. building will be Dramm's first newly
constructed building. Dramm started as a basement operation
and then moved into two smaller buildings on the south side
of Manitowoc before purchasing the current facility on North
18th Street.
After four additions to the North 18th Street building, the
current site is at the property capacity with no options to expand.
The new headquarters site, located in the Manitowoc
Industrial Park, will increase Dramm's warehouse and office
space. Additionally, there will be the capability to expand in
the future. The company has grown while staying committed
to being a family owned and operated business, remaining in
Manitowoc County.
The company now has 93 employees and is excited to offer
more office and warehouse space.
" We are excited for this next stage of growth and glad to be
doing it in Manitowoc, " Hans Dramm, president of Dramm, said.
The warehouse construction is scheduled to be completed in
October 2021, while the office construction will be completed
in May 2022.
