Garden Center Show Returns to Milwaukee
The 2023 event includes a garden center tour, several keynotes, a trade show and

he 2023 event includes a garden center tour,
several keynotes, a trade show and opportunities
to network with other green industry professionals.
The Garden Center Show is scheduled to return to
downtown Milwaukee Aug. 8-10 at the Wisconsin Center.
The event draws garden center operators, suppliers,
educators and business thought leaders in one place to
help independent business owners learn how to compete
with big box operations.
" We know it is difficult to find time away from your
busy garden center, and that is why we work hard at the
Garden Center Show to bring you a great product mix
of vendors from which you can shop, " says Jim Reed,
co-director. " It is also why we developed an education
program that hits on the important aspects of your
business and addresses your everyday concerns. The

The free registration provides attendees with access
to the exhibit hall, keynote sessions and the networking
reception on Wednesday, Aug. 9. A garden center tour on
Monday, Aug. 7, requires separate registration.
Trade Show
The three-day trade show showcases the products,
offerings and services that appeal to independent garden
centers. Hundreds of exhibitors from around the country
will display their products for the 2023 holiday season and
the 2024 gardening season.

Conference Program
Running concurrently, the Garden Center Show
conference offers an education program consisting
of 22 sessions, led by top minds and leading experts
in specialized areas of retail, gardening and business
management. Each morning will begin with a keynote
presentation, followed by breakout sessions throughout
the day.
Garden Center Tour
Attendees can also sign up to attend an independent
garden center store tour, which is scheduled to take place
on Monday, Aug. 7, the day before the show opens. The
tour, with stops at five independent garden centers in the
Milwaukee area, will provide opportunities to network
with fellow business owners, share business strategies
and spark new ideas.
Networking Opportunities
The event will again include the Lawn & Garden
Retailer Networking Lounge, a place on the show floor
to have a seat and network with other attendees. Editors
from L&GR will be in the lounge throughout each day
to engage with participants and encourage and foster
discussion. In addition, keynote speakers will come to the
lounge after their presentations to spend an hour in " Ask
Me Anything " sessions.
