Sales professional joins JLS Automation
Experienced sales professional Carl Roeder is JLS Automation's
new Northwest U.S. sales manager.
Roeder brings more than 13 years of experience in the packaging
and capital equipment industries, specifically in robotics and
secondary packaging. He spent 10 years with Pearson Packaging,
including a role as aftermarket sales manager for the Midwest.
" Carl brings a wealth of industry experience and application
knowledge, " said Mike Newcome, JLS vice president of sales. " His
ability to analyze and simplify complex technical challenges will
greatly benefit our team and advance the objectives of our company.

NETZCH pumps primed for tough jobs
A new pump from NETZCH Pumps North America designed for
difficult pumping applications can convey both fluids and solids in a
range of industries.
The housing of the NEMO BO Open Hopper Progressing Cavity
Pump is designed with an enlarged rectangular hopper, a force feed
chamber and an integrated feeding screw in the hopper. Continuous
low-pulsation conveyance is unaffected by fluctuations in pressure
and viscosity, and the pump provides continuous, pressure-stable
pumping of a variety of media.
Since the shape of the cavities is constant, the pumped product is
not compressed.
The pumps, also suitable as submersible pumps in wells and with
open-end connections for emptying barrels, have potential applications
in the beverage, food, cosmetic, biotech and chemical industries.
BW Integrated Systems adds to marketing team
Marketing veteran Daniela Israel is BW Integrated System's new
vice president, market strategy. Israel's 15-year marketing and product
management career has been largely spent with leading North American
manufacturing and technology companies including ITW and Dell.
" Daniela will be instrumental in positioning our product and
solutions across the global markets we serve, " said Pete Carlson,

MULTIVAC introduces new pouch loader
MULTIVAC has introduced a new pouch loader that the company
says increases efficiency and cuts labor costs in packaging
processes on belted chambers.
When packaging products on belted chamber equipment, the
filling of the film pouches and the loading of the machines often
create a bottleneck. This work is usually carried out manually and
requires labor-intensive product handling. Five people have typically
been required to ensure full production capacity - three to fill the film
pouches with product and two to load the chamber belt machine.
With the new MULTIVAC Pouch Loader and Pouch Rack, the loading

Food tech innovation company SAVRpak's moisture control
technology, which can extend the shelf life of produce up to three times,
will be marketed through Jüsto, Mexico's first online supermarket.
Beginning in December, each clamshell of berry varieties
ordered through Jüsto included SAVRpak, a small, plant-based
thermodynamic pouch that removes condensation - the No. 1 cause
of mold, early spoilage and overall reduced quality of berries and
other peel-less produce.
Made of FDA-approved food grade materials, the SAVRpak patch
solution is placed in produce packaging before the product is sealed
and delivered to customers. Within seconds, SAVRpak's Atmospheric
Control and Transmission technology removes 50% of condensation
and keeps more from forming by absorbing the moisture that leads to
sogginess and harmful microbial bacteria that causes produce to spoil.

pouch loader can also eliminate the need for employees to physically lift
up to 10 tons of product when compared to the manual loading process.

Rite-Hite introduces new industrial fan
Rite-Hite has expanded its line of industrial fans with the
introduction of CoolMan Zone Fans.
Designed for destratification, the patented design uses a small,
energy-efficient fan to deliver a powerful column of air between rack
aisles, above or below mezzanines, or in other tight spaces that may
be challenging or costly to distribute air evenly.
CoolMan Zone Fans improve worker comfort on the floor, reduce
energy costs and equalize temperatures throughout the facility.
