Reimagined gift & stationery show
fills West Coast gap
Building on the success of *Noted: The Greeting Card Expo,
the non-profit Greeting Card Association (GCA) will expand its
2024 event to include Gifted: The Creative Gift & Home Expo.
*Noted+Gifted will occur April 17-18, 2024, at the Fort Mason
Center for Arts & Culture in San Francisco. The marketplace
will follow GCA's vision as a show by the gift and stationery
community for the gift and stationery community.
" *Noted+Gifted offers a unique environment in which makers
and brands can share their products with buyers seeking an
elevated stationery and gift mix, " said GCA Executive Director
Nora Weiser. " Traditional shows risk over-complicating logistics
for exhibitors or fail to acknowledge buyer needs. *Noted+Gifted
offers move-in-ready exhibit spaces and a layout designed to
delight buyers, with discoveries at every turn. "
*Noted launched in 2019 after the shuttering of National
Stationery Show (NSS) removed an important annual market.
After two years of COVID cancellations, *Noted took place in San
Francisco in 2022 and 2023, co-located with Emerald Expo's SF
NOW. While GCA will manage *Noted+Gifted as a stand-alone
event, it will partner with Emerald for GCA's *Noted Village
areas at NY NOW markets.

Shoppe Object announces second
New York venue
Shoppe Object's February show will expand again,
encompassing a second venue to accommodate rapid growth.
The new venue is the recently renovated Skylight at Essex
Crossing. It is less than a mile from Pier 36, and frequent
shuttles will run between the two locations.
Since its launch, Shoppe Object has seen near-continuous
growth in attendance and exhibitors, according to show
executives. Beginning with just 100 brands, the show debuted
a two-pavilion footprint in 2023 with over 500 exhibitors, a
30% increase from its at-capacity the previous year. This new
extension doubles that space, said to allow for more curated
brands, an ability to accommodate larger booths and a renewed
emphasis on the spirit of discovery.
" We're spreading our wings again, " said Jesse James,
show founder and director. " With the addition of this brand
new venue, we have twice as much room to grow. It provides
an excellent opportunity for us to continue to deliver
the very best brands from around the world to the New
York market. "
The market will take place Feb. 4-6, 2024, between Pier 36
(299 South Street) and Essex Crossing (135 Delancey Street).
