IMC implements " Together
Safely " protocols
On June 4 International Market Centers (IMC)
released its " Together Safely " plan for reopening
its buildings in Atlanta, High Point and Las Vegas
and preparing for Summer 2020 markets. The
plan details safety mitigants and operational
protocols for IMC facilities, staff, customers and
third-party vendors, and was developed by an
IMC task force in consultation with a top
epidemiologist and in concert with government
mandates and public health recommendations.
" The Together Safely plan aims to address every
moment of the campus experience and sets
guidelines for each interaction, from arrival to
departure, to ensure we're creating an
environment where all steps recommended by
health and local officials have been taken to
minimize the risk of transmission of COVID-19
from one individual to another, " said Bob
Maricich, IMC CEO.
The plan dictates that IMC reopen its campuses
in four phases - pre-opening preparation,
resumption of year-round business, recall of
employees and resumption of markets - with
specific guidelines for tenants, attendees and staff
during each phase. Additionally, IMC has added
physical mitigants, including new contactless
registration procedures, requirement of personal
protective equipment (PPE) for all, expanded
sanitization policies and the implementation of
social distancing and traffic control measures. The
Together Safely protocols are mandatory for all.

Summer Atlanta Market
announces August dates
Atlanta Market kicks off an unprecedented
summer market season with new dates and a
modified format. The 2020 summer market will
be Aug. 13-18, 2020, at AmericasMart Atlanta, with
buying across its complete product collection
alongside new enhanced safety protocols.

As of May 28, trade fairs, congresses and
conventions with over 100 people can once again
occur in Frankfurt am Main with strict safety
precautions. The Messe Frankfurt Executive
Board has made the health and safety of all
employees, exhibitors and visitors its top
priority. With an area of approx. 600,000 square
metres - equivalent to 84 football fields - the
Frankfurt exhibition grounds offer the space
necessary to accommodate large numbers of
people while maintaining social distancing.
Messe Frankfurt's professional hygiene
management system draws on expert medical
advice, and its spacious, high-ceilinged
exhibition halls are supplied with large volumes
of fresh air as frequently as five times per hour.
Safety measures also include protective
equipment. Buildings will now be cleaned even
more frequently, while all personnel will receive
special training.
All event participants will be subjected to a
comprehensive registration process, and visitor
numbers will be limited. Tickets will be issued for
particular dates with specific time slots for
admission. Close contact will be further limited
thanks to contactless access controls, electronic
admission tickets and electronic payment. Aisles
in the exhibition halls will also be widened.
Paperworld is scheduled Jan. 30-Feb. 2.The
leading international trade fair presents the latest
products and trends in the paper, office supplies,
and stationery sector. During its 2020 edition,
Paperworld welcomed 1,591 exhibitors from 69
Market Centers CEO. " While it is going to feel like
a different type of market in Atlanta, the purpose
remains the same: to connect the right buyers and
the right sellers at the right time. "
Atlanta Market's 1,000+ showrooms are set to
be open throughout the six-day August market..
Complementing the permanent showrooms are
temporaries presented August 14-17 in a modified
format that allows for social distancing and traffic
management.

Association's (GCA) 2020 LOUIE Awards. The
winners, selected by a panel of industry experts
