Rigging allows winter pruning to take place while seated

Winter pruning off to a slow
start but I figured out a way to
cope. I hung the electric Felco
pruner on the pruning tower so
I don't have to carry it. I sit on
the seat and snip away. These are
small trees on stakes. They are
a little bit too tall to prune from
the ground and besides, I cannot
carry that battery backpack very
far without being exhausted. I can
sit there all afternoon pruning
away and come away in pretty
good shape.

Notice the seat. It is a good,
wide bicycle seat set high enough
to lean on rather to sit flat. It is
very stable when placing the feet
near the outer edge of the platform
and it is easy to operate the foot
controls. The steel safety rail had
to go to accommodate the seat so
I tie myself on with a small blue
ratchet strap. The seat swivels.
The seat base sits flat on the
platform and locks with small steel
brought a pair of electrically
heated gloves. I suspect every
man who has hands as beat up as
mine has cold fingers. Each finger
has a heating coil and it works
well. It is kinda fun being out in
the weather, bundled up from
the cold wind and being able to
ignore Mother Nature.
Sadly, the body runs out of
steam before the batteries do but
every little bit helps.
Hacked! Have you ever had
your phone hacked? This one
happened while I was texting a
friend. Suddenly, someone barged
in and sent him messages from a
security investigation site, I think.
Any way, it had a bunch of Jerry
Millses listed, and their relatives,
but not me.
Needless to say, he was incensed
and I embarrassed. I went to the
family guru for help. We were not
able to find the source and I hope
it has not happened again. There
is no privacy any more.
A granddaughter purchased a
new house in Louisiana. With just
a few clicks, I was able to see the
house, inside and out (nice), check
out the neighborhood and schools,
and find out what she paid for it.
Things kids say. Son's threeyear-old
granddaughter: " Well,
Mommy, you are the boss all the
time. ... I think I should be boss
some of the time. "
" No, Sweetheart, mommy is
boss all the time. " VGN
