International, virtual field days keep HM.Clause busy
HM.Clause hosted its annual Field Days
in Davis, California, in early August, and
again launched our virtual experience
globally the same week.
On display are hundreds of commercial
and new products from our development
pipeline. This virtual event is the perfect
opportunity to learn about our innovative
new varieties. With product photos, variety
attributes, access to our digital field book,
links to hundreds of product highlight
videos and the ability to connect with
product experts, you'll feel like you were

Immokalee Field Days
The HM.Clause Field Days at our
research station in Immokalee, Florida
will occur the week of Dec. 6, where we
will showcase over 100 different vegetable
varieties. Species available to preview
include tomatoes, broccoli, cauliflower, bell
peppers, hot peppers, squash, watermelon,
tomatillos and melons. One featured
variety includes the new DaVinci Roma

Pumpkin - Lemonade is our newest
Sweet Corn - Azlan is a new processing
LEMONADE
Halloween pumpkin with the golden
touch. It's an eye-catching and delightful
yellow pumpkin that adds a beautiful
pop of color in any mixed bin. It's a
high-yielding carver for more profit
and its unique golden color is perfect
for autumn decorating from Halloween
through Thanksgiving.
Pumpkin - Fireball's unique look
brings a much-needed splash of color
to mixed bins and autumn decorations
and is a great seller at the market. Its
quick maturity and concentrated set
make it a terrific variety for any pumpkin
patch. The hard shell makes a durable
pumpkin for shipping and stays good for
Thanksgiving displays. Fireball features
excellent yields with good postharvest
holding for more profits. It has vibrant
orange and yellow stripes with a unique
pattern for good contrast in specialty
and mixed bins and its dark green stripes
mature to orange over time and produces
consistent results for a trusted crop.
Tomato - DaVinci brings marketleading
fruit quality and disease
resistance required for diverse regional
planting. Adapted well for the East Coast
U.S. market, DaVinci features very high
fruit quality, higher yield potential due
to extended setting on the plan, a very
comprehensive disease package and
the Crimson gene for great color and
appearance.
Broccoli - Seabiscuit broccoli is
perfectly suited for crown cut and floret
harvesting. It features uniform harvest
maturity in the summer/fall maturity class,
tight, firm heads and good weight, a high
tolerance to mildew and pinrot, nicelydomed
heads with uniform beads and an
open plant frame for ease of harvest.
SU yellow sweet corn that's all about the
recovery. It features deep kernels and a
small core, giving it 10% higher recovery
on average than market leaders, according
to Cornell and CTAQ studies. It has a wide
planting opportunity with short days to
market, excellent disease resistance that
allows planting into the main season, and
high yield and consistent performance
under variable growing conditions.
FIREBALL
Squash - Tribute high yield potential
and is an excellent choice for planting
when a strong disease package is needed.
It features high yields of dark green fruit, a
medium upright plant with open vine and
very straight acylindrical fruit.
Watermelon -After three years of
trialing, we can say Crescendo is still
the best-tasting watermelon variety on
the market. It features a blocky shape,
great flavor, and is suitable for early and

This carrot is known for its superb

appeals to consumers.
