More and more international visitors are taking to the
skies and traveling to the U.S., a number that's expected
to fully recover to pre-pandemic levels in 2025.

Forecast
The International Trade Administration's
National Travel and Tourism
Office (NTTO) recently released an
international visitation forecast, its
first since the onset of the pandemic.
The forecast, which extends until
2027, projects that inbound travel
will fully recover to pre-pandemic
levels in 2025. By 2027, NTTO projects
there will be 91 million international
visitations. The forecast also
predicts inbound travel will reach
115% of 2019 levels that same year.

Rebranding in NYC
New York City's official destination marketing organization and convention and visitors bureau
recently introduced a new name and brand identity-New York City Tourism + Conventions.
The destination's brand system, aimed at travelers from around the world, includes a
revamped brand strategy and comprehensive visual identity. The debut of the name and brand
was launched in conjunction with a social campaign, #whatsgoodnyc, harnessing the " opinion
power " of the city's 8.5 million New Yorkers. The campaign offered them a chance to share their
points of view on " what's good " and what to experience across the city's five boroughs. Tapping
into travelers' desire for authentic experiences, the foundation and strength of the branding
comes from genuine, enthusiastic perspectives shared by a diverse mix of locals-highlighting
New York City Tourism + Conventions' role in amplifying these opinions to help travelers have
a richer experience in New York City.

This year, Tourism Cares, a leading
travel industry nonprofit, is celebrating
its 20th anniversary, marking
two decades of programming
in the sustainable tourism space.
The nonprofit launched in 2003 with
the Tourism Cares for America giveback
project on Ellis Island in New
York City, and the event was the first
of its kind, drawing more than 300
travel and tourism professionals to
join in volunteerism-uniting competitors
and collaborators alike.
To celebrate the milestone, Tourism
Cares is hosting special programming
in the spirit of industry collaboration
with new partners. For the first time
in Europe, Tourism Cares held its
Tourism Cares with Norway Meaningful
Travel Summit in partnership
with Innovation Norway and USTOA's
Sustainability is Responsibility (SIR)
event. In October, Tourism Cares will
launch a new event, The Power of
Partnership Stewardship Summit. The
theme of Tourism Cares' anniversary
year is one of unity, collaboration, and
a shared vision for the future.
