historian and Home Guard staff sergeant Frode Lindgjerdet is now available in English. Lindgjerdet's " Operation
Rype, " meaning grouse, tells the story of Norwegian-Americans recruited from the 99th Infantry Battalion at
Camp Hale, Colorado, into the Offi ce of Strategic Services' Norwegian Special Operations Group (NORSO),
with the promise of hazardous duty behind enemy lines in occupied Norway. The NORSO men overcame
every obstacle to accomplish their objectives. Firsthand accounts, photographs and operational details provide a
description of wartime struggles in Central Norway during the spring of 1945.

QUEEN MARGRETHE II OF DENMARK DESIGNS
COSTUMES FOR NETFLIX FILM
Queen Margrethe II of Denmark didn't grow up knowing she would
become queen. Despite being the eldest child of the reigning king, Danish
law barred women from inheriting the throne for the fi rst 12 years of her
life. Instead, she dreamt of becoming an artist. When the constitution was
amended in 1953, the Queen found herself next in line for the
throne, but her passion for art never died. Recently, she was
selected as the costume and set designer for the Netfl ix
Danish period drama " Ehrengard: The Art of Seduction. "
Her meticulous costume designs were based on
clothes worn throughout the Biedermeier
period of early 1800s Europe. In September,
Queen Margrethe stepped out at the
fi lm's premiere in Copenhagen dressed
in a sleek red pantsuit, an ode to both
Denmark's fl ag and the Netfl ix logo.
