EXECUTIVE IDEAS By Christopher Pinkerton, Chief Executive Officer THE ROAD AHEAD A s I reflect on the past several months, I must acknowledge the hard decisions we made as an organization for the financial health and longevity of Sons of Norway. I am extremely proud of the work our staff and international board did to ensure we took the necessary steps to align our budget with our income flow, which impacted not only staff but membership resources. These important steps have helped us focus on the crucial development efforts of our new product line and our new administrative processes. We are excited to soon announce the launch of our next generation of insurance products. Over the past year, we have re-envisioned our product portfolio incorporating modern technology and data into our process. Our initial product to market is our simplified issue insurance. With this product, we now provide our members a five-minute journey from start of application to offer of insurance. This streamlined process makes it easier for our members to access our valuable insurance products and reduces costs related to policy issuance. The development and sales of our financial products are an important part of our business model as a fraternal life insurance carrier. It cannot be mentioned enough that " the business funds the mission " and we care deeply about the mission of Sons of Norway! " Our new products and the technology launch supporting them are key components of our transformation efforts. It is truly exciting to see our mission accomplished through these new digital capabilities by reducing the barriers to insurance coverage for our members and enabling our producers to serve them.
