Jacobsen Engineering
To prepare Jacobsen Construction Company
for a busy project schedule, favorable industry
conditions, and strong economic tailwinds, the
general contractor promoted seven executives.
Scott DeGraffenried, general
counsel, now fills that role as an
executive vice president at the
company. Named to the Utah
Legal Elite list in 2021, he has
been with Jacobsen since 2018.
Josh Fenn is vice president
and project executive at
Jacobsen, in addition to
continuing as assistant project
director at the Salt Lake
Temple Major Renovation.
Rob Mills was named vice
president of project development.
He has handled project
development duties for Jacobsen
projects nationwide since
1999, most recently as a
preconstruction manager.
Jon Moody was named vice
president and project
executive, utilizing his 21 years
of expertise in pre-construction
and project development.
Julie Mulcock was named
executive vice president of
Human Resources. With the
firm since 2002, most
recently, she was vice
president and director of
Human Resources, overseeing the needs of the
company's 600-strong workforce.
Scott Samowitz is vice
president of Information
Technology (IT) & Security.
Previously director of IT, he
has more than 10 years of
experience keeping the
company's information systems secure and
technological capabilities up to date.
Jon Wight, who joined
Jacobsen in 2005, was named
vice president of field
operations. His responsibilities
include high-level strategic
risk management and
construction management.

Underground Safety Alliance
Justin Sell is the new executive director
for Underground Safety Alliance (USA), the
umbrella, non-profit organization for Indiana
811 and Kentucky 811.
In this role, he leads all strategic planning,
administration, program execution and staff
management for the " 811 Before You Dig "
centers in those states and provides fiscally
sound recommendations and counsel to the
USA Board of Directors.
Sell has been with the organization since
2011, serving as director of operations and
technology for the last four years.
Stantec
Sujan Punyamurthula, Ph.D.,
P.E., joined Stantec, a global
engineering, architecture, and
consulting firm, as senior vice
president, in the firm's North
American water practice.
While primarily focused on the Water sector,
he works with the firm's network of industry
leaders to identify and develop long-term strategies
to position Stantec for growth across the
US and Canada, in alignment with innovation
and sustainability goals.
He has nearly three decades of experience
in the civil engineering industry, specialized
in integrating digital technologies to drive
innovation, improve operational efficiency and
sustain market leadership through infrastructure
programs - specifically water infrastructure
projects, over the past decade.
Saf-T-Gard
John Lynch joined Saf-T-Gard
International, Inc., a full-line,
quality-oriented supplier of
personal protective equipment
(PPE) for more than eight
decades, as senior director of
business development.
The industry veteran brings 30-plus years of
experience in safety and PPE sales and leadership,
with a heavy focus on electrical safety.
Brown & Caldwell
Suad Cisic joined leading
environmental engineering
and construction firm Brown
and Caldwell, as managing
director of client services.
Specifically, he partners with municipal and
private clients, aligning the firm's technical
solutions to help overcome complex challenges
related to water scarcity, aging infrastructure,
and dependence on imported water supplies.
A seasoned executive with over 30 years of
related consulting experience, he has a proven
track record of positioning for, capturing,
and delivering highly technical projects and
programs, domestically and overseas.
SSC Underground
Arvid Veidmark III is the new president of
Specialized Services Co. (SSC), one of Arizona's
leading underground construction contractor
companies.
A 30-year veteran of the company, Veidmark
has " grown up " with the family business,
involved in various ways since age 10 and fulltime
since 1993.
While maintaining SSC's current level of
production, he leads further implementation
of the company's Trenchless Constructability
and Design (TCD) consulting arm, with the goal
making it the go-to firm for input on proactively
designing tunneling and other trenchless
projects.
Woolpert
Bryan Dickerson rejoined
architecture, engineering,
geospatial (AEG) and strategic
consulting firm Woolpert, as
vice president and director of
operations for infrastructure.
In this role, he supports the sector's organic
and acquisitive growth, strategic initiatives,
operational improvements, investments and
business development.
McElroy
Barry Johnson is the new
quality director at McElroy, the
world's leading designer and
manufacturer of thermoplastic
fusion equipment. He replaces
Steve Burgess, who is retiring
after a 35-year career with the company.
Johnson will lead McElroy's quality team,
identifying opportunities to improve the overall
customer experience. Most recently, he served
as senior director of quality and continuous
improvement at NORDAM, an aerospace manufacturing
