Introducing DEVELON: Next
Evolution in Construction
Equipment Innovation
The familiar orange, Doosan-branded construction
equipment is changing its name.
Work to identify a new brand name began after
the August 2021 sale of Doosan Infracore to
HD Hyundai (formerly Hyundai Heavy Industries
Holdings Co. HHIH).
" DEVELON " was chosen to convey the
company's drive to " develop onward, " bringing
innovative equipment and solutions to build
critical infrastructure in construction, logging,
recycling, mining, rental and agriculture. It also
represents the efforts to advance sustainable development
through alternative energy sources
of power for construction equipment.
Rolling out globally, the re-branding is first
being launched in the North America market,
phased-in at the 180 dealers in the United States
and Canada.
The DEVELON brand will apply to all Doosan
machines, parts and engines, but the orange
color and model nomenclature will remain
the same. Designed with a bucket-shaped,
arrow-like " D " , the new logo will replace the
current one on equipment.
Customers should begin to see newly branded
DEVELON machines at their local dealerships
and on job sites as early as the end of the
second quarter this year. Updated signage and
décor will also appear at dealer locations.
Plans call for the company name to change
at a time to be determined but will not change
structurally or organizationally.
North American operations will remain headquartered
in Suwanee, Ga., near Atlanta, where
the company continues to offer a training center
for dealership service technicians.
Two regional parts distribution centers - in
Atlanta and the Pacific Northwest - will maintain
exceptional parts availability. A customization plant
in Savannah, Ga., will continue to get products to
DEVELON dealers and customers faster, with the
configurations they need for their applications.
The company will remain as a subsidiary in
the Hyundai Genuine group, alongside Hyundai
Construction Equipment (HCE). Both subsidiaries
will still be independent construction equipment
companies under HD Hyundai.
" We believe the new DEVELON brand will
help us build on the success we've had in North
