GasLOK is manufactured in numerous series
to accommodate a wide range of service
pressures. To aid in selection, GF provides an
online service line protection calculator and, as
an industry fi rst, a comparison tool. By providing
system parameters, users can easily determine
the appropriate GasLOK series to use.

United Rentals Adds Low-Emissions Mobile
Power Generators to Fleet
United Rental Inc. introduced JuiceBox mobile power generators
to its equipment rental fl eet. Able to be powered by safe and clean
propane or natural gas, the generators provide a low-emissions
alternative to diesel machines to charge electric vehicles, tools
and other equipment, advancing worksite electrifi cation strategies.
Acquired from Evergreen Mobile Power, the generators feature
a much lower - up to 40 percent - operating cost than diesel
generators. They also use propane, which produces 17-percent
lower greenhouse gas emissions than diesel machines.
With a compact footprint of 50 inches long by 50 inches wide by 54 inches high, the
generators deliver instant power up to 20 kilowatts (kW). They can be linked together to
address higher power demands.
JuiceBox is equipped with dual interchangeable and removable electrical panels, making
it fast and easy to customize for various power needs. In addition to the environmental
benefi ts, the generators run much quieter than traditional generators.
Applications include construction worksites; emergency response; entertainment
Hitachi Construction Machinery Americas
introduced the ZAXIS-7 compact excavators
to effi ciently complete tasks on today's
urban job sites.
An ultra-short-tail swing radius allows the
ZX75US-7 to access confi ned spaces, while an
ultra-short-tail swing radius with swing boom
model, ZX85USB-7, productively digs next to
walls and guard rails.
Power is provided by proven, turbocharged
Yanmar diesel engines. Power/economy work
modes tailor the machine's performance to the
task. The power mode provides higher engine
speeds when extra horsepower is needed, while
the economy mode reduces engine speed when
performing normal work. This results in lower
noise and decreased fuel consumption.
A standard system automatically reduces the
engine to idling speed when all control levers are
left in neutral for longer than 4 seconds. When the
levers are moved again, the engine speed immediately
resumes to the pre-selected engine speed.
This reduces noise and exhaust emissions, while
simultaneously saving energy and operating cost.
For enhanced versatility, an optional attachment
replacement support system on these compact
excavators simplifi es swapping work tools.
Attachment fl ow settings can be adjusted
from the monitor and the operator can name
and store up to 12 settings. An auxiliary function
lever (AFL) is available with an analog switch,
trigger switch and horn for running attachments
such as a breaker or an attachment with swing.
ZAXIS-7 series is engineered to maximize opvenues,
including concerts, festivals and sports events; telecommunications and many
other markets looking to explore cleaner fuel power.
The generators join low- and zero-emissions rental equipment options, such as aerial
lifts, trucks, vans, compact excavators, e-dumpsters, battery systems and more, already in
the United Rentals portfolio of environmentally friendly rental equipment.
" Diesel engine emission regulations are driving companies to look for new options they
can deploy, " said Dan Gribbell, PHVAC Region Sales and Marketing Director, United Rentals.
" With low operations costs and greenhouse gas emissions, the JuiceBox provides a smarter
choice for the environment and a customer's wallet. " UI

erator productivity, with signifi cantly more cab
space than the previous generation, more head
clearance when opening the front window, and
low cabin fl oor height for improved access.
Hitachi Construction Machinery Americas
takes panoramic visibility a step further with its
Aerial Angle peripheral vision camera system,
which provides a 270-degree bird's-eye view
of the machine's immediate environment.
Operators can quickly and easily select from fi ve
views on the monitor and a camera allows them
to see the area right below the counterweight.
Standard long-lasting LED work lights off er a
longer lifetime than halogen lights and provide
visibility in challenging conditions. The work
lights continue to light up for 30 seconds after
the power is turned off for increased safety
when exiting the cab at night.
Hitachi Construction Machinery Americas
excavators are renowned for durability and the
ZAXIS-7 series features enhancements to critical
components, such as tighter pinhole tolerances
in the boom and arm to reduce any side wobble.
A V-shaped cylinder guard helps protect the
boom cylinder from objects that may fall from
the bucket. To prevent damage to the upper
structure, a D-section frame skirt and increased
plate thickness improve upward impact resistance.
The side plate thickness of the blade has
been increased to withstand external shocks.
Ease of maintenance further enhances
versatility. A wide opening rear engine cover
allows maintenance access. The fi lters and
fuel/water separator are grouped in the pump
room for easy ground level inspection and
replacement. Remote swing-circle lubrication
simplifi es daily maintenance.
Routine checks, such as engine oil level,
are quickly accomplished from ground level
and all service points are easily reached
through the handy access panels. The
operator is alerted of hydraulic oil and
fuel fi lter replacement timing through the
multifunction monitor. An inner element of
the engine air fi lter protects the engine from
dust ingress while cleaning the outer element.
