Management Sensors
Arlington, Va., will pilot a system of in-ground sensors to provide
real-time occupancy information for 4,500 parking spaces in a project
area to detect vehicles and calculate usage data.

A federal review of plans for Enbridge's Line 5 oil pipeline
tunnel will take more than a year longer than originally
planned, likely delaying completion of the project

Houston Researchers Develop
Construction Site Safety System
University of Houston computer scientists have developed
a sensor-based system to keep construction workers safe
at job sites. Their findings and process are published in the
journal Applied Sciences.

Damage Caused by Pro Contractors
The Common Ground Alliance's annual DIRT Report
found that 55 percent of reported damages were caused
by professional contractors, most often because no
notification was made to the 811 center.
