What's your favorite method to predict the future? Do you read tea leaves? Draw tarot
cards? Ask the magic eightball? We considered all those options at Modern Contractor
Solutions but decided to turn to construction industry insiders to get a bead on 2025.
Technology is shaping the future in response to a shortage in skilled labor. Based on
the insight from this month's contributors, construction projects in the months ahead
will rely increasingly on modular prefabricated construction, equipment automation,
expanding GNSS capabilities, remote-control operation, robotics, and of course,
artificial intelligence.
The nature of commercial construction is evolving at a rapid pace, whether at the
management desk or out in the field. To remain competitive, companies will need to
embrace the changes or be left in the past.
