DIGIKEY'S LINDA JOHNSON RECEIVES WOMEN
IN ELECTRONICS UNITY AWARD
DigiKey announces that Linda Johnson, executive vice
president of operations for DigiKey, has received the
WE Unity Award from industry organization Women in
Electronics (WE).
" It is with great honor and pleasure to recognize Linda
Johnson for her outstanding service as a leader of both
character and impact in the electronics industry, " says
Jackie Mattox, WE founder, president, and CEO. " Linda
is a true professional who exhibits the gold standard of

In 2021, WE began distributing the WE Unity Award to
individuals who consistently advocate for the WE mission
of expanding opportunities for women in the electronics
industry, industrial industry, and related markets. Recipients
are selected by the WE Executive Team for consistently
demonstrating a leadership style of civility, ethics, and
humanity. Johnson and other recipients also serve as role
models within the WE community, their organization, and
the industry.

RESEARCH FACILITY
Armstrong Fluid Technology will join other industry-leading
organizations in creating the world's first 100 percent
digitally-enabled building and research facility. Named
the Smart Campus and Integration Testing Hub (SCITHub)
at Toronto Metropolitan University (TMU), the innovative
initiative is designed to explore solutions for decarbonizing
the built environment and help achieve net-zero emissions.
" Created as a model of post-2030 smart and sustainable
construction, this 100 percent digitally-enabled facility
integrates a diverse range of building systems technology
(HVAC, lighting, building envelope, security, IT, and
communications), " says Paul Scarafile, commercial director,
Canada, Armstrong Fluid Technology.
" As an innovator in the design, engineering and
manufacturing of intelligent fluid flow equipment, control
solutions and optimization technologies, Armstrong will
contribute a variety of technologically advanced equipment
including Design Envelope pumps, circulators expansion
tanks, and air separators, " Scarafile adds.
The two-story building will have a fully integrated IT
system connecting all building elements together that can
be controlled by apps. The first floor will facilitate research
and development for Smart Homes and host the Operations
