The BCBA also just hosted the "Bridge the Gap" program for
lawyers from all over Pennsylvania who recently passed the bar
exam. Our annual Bench Bar Conference, which will be held
September 26-28 at the recently remodeled Seaview Resort
in Absecon, NJ (save the date), is coming together with lots of
exciting offerings for all of our attendees. Our new In-House
and General Counsel Section should be up and running soon.
Our recently resurrected Solo & Small Practice Section had a
very successful (and well attended) first meeting, and our next
one promises to offer even more. We have a Spring Training
baseball themed CLE on April 24th, with a reception to follow;
we have the annual John J. Rufe BCBA softball game on June
13th, the Federal Courts Reception on June 19th; the Bar
Foundation golf outing on June 24th; Dinner and a Movie;
and so much more. We also continue to make improvements
to our building, including updating our fire suppression
system, tree maintenance and electrical work. The bottom line
is that your Bar Association is working hard at putting together
quality CLEs, presentations and events; improving our building;
and expanding services for our members to enjoy.
