as an Engineer for Motorola and then as an Assistant Pastor
for five years before settling down to his full-time career as
a contemporary still life artist for the last 25 years. Early on
Robert painted classic and Plein Air still lifes. Describing his
current works as 'Pop-Realism,' Robert found this hoeuve
after a patron added Robert's pictures to his large and varied
art collection. This patron found that without exception,
when his guests viewed his collection, they always ended
up congregated around and discussing Robert's paintings.
Maybe I oversimplify, but Robert always wanted his art to
bring people together and interact with each other. Please
take a moment to view his art and may it trigger a smile and
bring as much delight to you and your friends and family as
is does for me. Surely, Robert succeeds in bringing us a bit
closer to each other in this time of isolation and distancing.

Robert's artwork can now be found exhibited in galleries
and museums coast to coast. His work can be found at the
Delaware Art Museum, Brandywine River Museum of Art,
Evansville Museum of Art, History, and Sciences, South
Dakota Art Museum, New Britain Museum of American
Arts, and Seven Bridges Foundation, as well as in the homes
of collectors worldwide and in various corporate collections.
His next solo exhibition will be at the Mattatuck Museum
in Waterbury, CT beginning February 2021. Robert was
also the author of the 2014 publication " Behind the Easel, "
which explores the unique voices of 20 contemporary
representational painters.
