Fantasy and the
Faithful Leap for the Cause...
February, 2018. An estimated 2,000 to 2,500 diehards
participated in the madcap Polar Bear Plunge that unfolds each
February in Sea Isle City, NJ. Now in its 24th year, the plunge is
the centerpiece of the wildly popular annual Polar Bear Weekend
celebration that draws tens of thousands of visitors to town for a
good cause!
Proceeds benefit Special Services Schools, Autism Support
Groups, Autism Speaks, and Families of Special Needs
Children.

"Do you know what kept me standing through all those
years in exile? Faith. Not in any gods. Not in myths and
legends. In myself. In Daenerys Targaryen. The world
hadn't seen a dragon in centuries until my children were
born. The Dothraki hadn't crossed the sea. Any sea. They
did for me. I was born to rule the Seven Kingdoms, and I
will" ... Daenerys Targaryen
"Our Tyrion ... Best In Show!"

The city's parking lots were full, the downtown streets
were teeming with revelers and the Promenade resembled
a busy summer day. The beaches between 38th and 40th
Streets in Sea Isle City, NJ, overflowed with plungers and
thousands of cheering spectators for the main event. The air
temperature was 41 degrees when the plungers took their
dip at 2:00 p.m. under cloudy skies.
"Best Dressed Plunger ... Frank Urso is hereby
recognized as the best dressed Polar Bear Plunger by a
landslide and granted the key to the City, Sea Isle City,
New Jersey."
Both aspects of Frank Urso's life, professional, and
that which is faith driven, have compelled his interest in
autism research and awareness. Frank has taken on the ocean
as part of a yearly ritual, a frigid affair, the Polar Bear Plunge,
to benefit city-wide events sponsored by the Sea Isle City
Chamber of Commerce and Revitalization. In the recent past,
Frank has assumed a leadership role with his faithful leap into
the frigid waters of the Atlantic Ocean dressed in full regalia as
Braveheart's William Wallace in 2016, and as the Incredible Hulk
in 2017.
In 2018, Francis Urso, Esquire, took his faithful leap as
the "Mother of Dragons" ... also known as Queen Daenerys
Targaryen of the Game of Thrones, an American fantasy drama
television series created by David Benioff and D. B. Weiss.
Game of Thrones is an adaptation of A Song of Ice and Fire,
George R. R. Martin's series of fantasy novels. In the mythical
continent of Westeros, several powerful families fight for control
of the Seven Kingdoms. As conflict erupts in the kingdoms of
men, an ancient enemy rises once again to threaten them all.
Meanwhile, the last heirs of a recently usurped dynasty plot to
take back their homeland from across the Narrow Sea.

From the East Coast side of the sea, we thank Frank Urso, an
individual who has made substantial contributions to improving
and elevating the standards of the practice of family law in
Delaware County, and has done so in his own unique way. His
resume reflects a very colorful background and approach to life.
No one other than Walter Weinrich, Esq., President, Family Law
Section of the Delaware County Bar Association, better captures
the "essence" of Frank Urso in one sentence ...
Francis A. Urso, Esquire ... "A Marine sniper who cultivates
the spirit of peace, fidelity, and respect for life." *
