Grandfather, William Henry Ridley, Esq., was the Delaware
County Bar's first attorney of color, a true pioneer, as pursuing
a legal career was exceedingly ambitious for a bright young
man of color in the late 19th century. As a fledging attorney, to
further his knowledge of the law, he worked in the Delaware
County offices of the Prothonotary and Recorder of Deeds.
* Anita Foeman, Ph.D., Founder and Primary investigator of
the DNA Discussion Project at West Chester University. The
goal of the DNA Discussion Project is to encourage greater
understanding of the science of genetics, the construction of
race, and the perception of ethnicity.
* Nicole R. Stokes, Ph.D., Associate Provost for Diversity,
Equity and Inclusion, Saint Joseph's University, brings 25
years of academic and administrative experience and deep
expertise in diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) research,
administration and pedagogy. In the DEI field, she is a leader
in first-generation and diverse learning initiatives, equal
employment, international education and women's leadership.

Honorable Robert A. Wright, the first African-American to
serve in the Delaware County District Attorney's office and on the
county court.
Honorable Robert C. Wright, with his father, Honorable
Robert A. Wright, hold the historic privilege of having been the
first father and son to serve together on the county Common Pleas
Court at the same time.
