Hamburg, Rubin, Mullin, Maxwell & Lupin is pleased to
announce that Steven H. Lupin has been named a Senior
Fellow of the Litigation Counsel of America (LCA). The LCA
is a trial lawyer honorary society composed of less than one-half
of one percent of American lawyers. Fellowship in the LCA is
highly selective and by invitation only. Fellows are selected based
upon excellence and accomplishment in litigation, both at the
trial and appellate levels, and superior ethical reputation. Senior
Fellow status in the society is reserved for advanced commitment
to and support of the LCA, Diversity Law Institute and Trial Law
Institute.
Fort Washington-based Timoney Knox, LLP is pleased to
announce that Eric B. Smith has joined the firm, which
is comprised of 25 attorneys representing a diverse practice
area. Smith focuses his practice on commercial and real estate
litigation, business disputes and municipal litigation.
Steven A. Hann recently spoke at the 2018 Pennsylvania
State Association of Township Supervisors Annual Conference
in Hershey, Pennsylvania. The topic of Mr. Hann's presentation
was "Stormwater Compliance: What Your Municipality Needs
to Know" and he discussed numerous issues that Pennsylvania
municipalities need to be aware of under the Pennsylvania
Department of Environmental Protection's (DEP's) stormwater
program.
High Swartz LLP partner and chair of the firm's Family Law
practice, Mary Cushing Doherty, was recently awarded
the prestigious honor of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society
Woman of the Year for the Philadelphia area.
Along with Melissa M. Boyd, Ms. Doherty also led sessions at
the Pennsylvania Bar Association Family Law Summer Meeting
held July 12 - 15 in Hershey, PA. Ms. Doherty was a speaker on
the panel "Drafting Agreements in the Year 2018." The panel
presented on the do's and don'ts of agreement drafting and the
importance of contemplating all potential legal consequences
into Separation, Custody and Settlement Agreements. Ms. Boyd
was the moderator for the panel "The Evolution of Family Law:
Past, Present and Future." The panel was a discussion of trends
in family law practice over the past few decades and a prospective
view of what lies ahead.
High Swartz LLP partner Joel D. Rosen recently spoke at
Pennsylvania Biotechnology Center of Bucks County - Public
Service Wall of Fame Induction Ceremony honoring Senator Joe
Scarnati. The Public Service Wall of Fame recognizes legislators
who have made extraordinary contributions to the success of the
Biotech Center.

In its nearly 100 years of service to the greater Philadelphia
community, Fort Washington-based Timoney Knox, LLP has
prided itself on the longevity and dedication of its attorneys.
That tradition continues with Scott H.Wolpert, who is
assuming the role of Managing Partner effective July 1, 2018.
Wolpert, who heads the firm's Students' Rights Department,
joined the firm in 1992 and became a partner in 2003.
Wisler Pearlstine, LLP is pleased to welcome three new associates
to the firm. Andrew M. Logan focuses his practice in the
areas of trust and estate planning and administration, taxation,
business planning, and the representation of closely held
businesses. Benjamin A. Andersen focuses his practice on
business litigation and is often consulted by other lawyers for
assistance with their most complicated cases. David I. Singh
is a member of the firm's Commercial Litigation practice group.
He represents commercial businesses, private individuals, and
educational institutions in a wide variety of commercial and
civil litigation matters in state and federal courts, including
actions involving contract, labor/employment, real estate,
and construction issues, as well as compliance with applicable
regulations.
Robert C. Gerhard, III led a mentoring session at this year's
Elder Law Institute in Harrisburg, PA for new lawyers entitled
"Elder Law Expertise, Level Up." Bob discussed ways to continue
increasing your skills and stay motivated to keep learning.
Michael E. Peters served as a faculty member at a National
Business Institute seminar on August 14, 2018 in King of
Prussia, PA. The seminar, entitled "Practical Guide to Zoning and
Land Use Law," addressed a variety of zoning and land use topics,
including procedural requirements for zoning decisions, land use
appeals and other judicial remedies.
Mr. Peters has also been appointed general counsel to the
Pennsylvania State Tax Collector's Association (PSTCA), the
official professional organization for elected tax collectors
throughout Pennsylvania.
