SUMMER/FALL 2019 RUNNING iovascular Disease Personally, I feel incredibly fortunate to be a part of the Scranton running community. On any given day, rain or shine, you can find people getting their miles in. There's nothing cooler than a large group of random people from varying backgrounds coming together to share the same love for the sport. It's a big family and they care about your success just as much as their own. Whatever your heart healthy activity is, I hope you find it and cherish it as much as I cherish running. Since beginning my journey as a long distance runner, I have noticed a huge difference in my CANCER ISSUE: 1905 ORG/PUB: NEPA Vital Signs N E PA overall well-being. I'm reaping the benefits and it's safe to say I am hooked. Who would have thought that I could lower my risk factors for cardiovascular disease and have fun while doing it? Some may call me crazy for coming back for more, but soon I will be running my second Half-Marathon and I couldn't be more excited.
