Keep a sharp eye out in this early autumn Wildlife
Expedition with Naturalist Kathy Grim. Children will
search for a variety of wildlife (puppets) that live in local
fields and forests. We'll enjoy Kathy's humorous wildlife
tales and learn interesting wildlife facts. Registration

Nature journaling is an artful way to help children learn
to see what is around them. It is a calming activity that
teaches science, art, writing, research and observation
skills. Join children's author and educator Annette
Garber to discover skillful observation and develop a
love for nature. Journals provided. Registration required.

Wildlife CSI - #1878

Sometimes it's difficult to see wildlife in fields and
forests, but we can learn to recognize the signs that
they are there! Children will learn about and search
for animal tracks, poop (scat), examine owl pellets and
more! We will learn about wildlife behavior and diet
as well as scat and track identification. Registration
required.					
		

Autumn Leaf Tree

Why do leaves change color in the fall? Join us to
find out why! We'll learn about trees, their colorful
leaves, and how to identify common and perhaps not
so common, Pennsylvania trees. Leaf guides will be
provided. Registration required.	

Join Naturalist Katrina Knight to watch for the hawks,
falcons and eagles that soar over Blue Marsh Lake's scenic
overlook situated above State Hill Boat Launch. We'll learn
interesting facts about raptors and their travels as we
watch them soar by. Bring binoculars. Rain date: 10/4/20.
