HD signage player with Mediastar Evolution No projection screen to large
Selecting a large projection screen for any unusual application has often
presented a challenge to AV integrators in Africa – and Pojecta have
addressed the issue with ‘made-to-measure’ projection screens suited
to your special needs. “Each large projection screen has its own
specific features,” says Don Mathews, managing director of Solution
Technologies, local distributor for Projecta. “Both the choice of a
screen as well as the installation requires the necessary preparation. By
taking into account the environment in which the large screen will be
placed, you can avoid unnecessary costs and unforeseen problems. It is
always advisable to discuss the installation of your screen with your AV
contractor beforehand because with proper preparation, your screen will
provide years of carefree use.” MediaStar Evolution, the digital signage
multimedia player from Cabletime, has been enhanced to deliver High
Definition content. This is the latest improvement for the popular IPTV
and Digital Signage solution, which answers user demands for ever
improving quality of images. The 760/2M, EvoNet unit, provides a powerful
and ultra reliable, solid state ‘out of the box’ solution for the
entire network TV, multimedia and digital signage delivery requirements.
Content can be synchronised across screens so that a co-ordinated single
marketing message is provided across a groups of screens. “We get a lot
of feedback from customers and resellers about what else they would like
to do with Evolution, and these new software enhancements answer a lot of
the requirements,” says Paul Reeves, sales and marketing director at
Cabletime. “Evolution, as the name suggests, is constantly evolving. We
are always looking for the best ways to improve performance on behalf of
customers.” Epson develops next-generation HTPS panel HD-ready 1080p
largescreen LCD projection TVs. Use of innovative highresolution
technology in the new panel achieves unprecedented aperture ratios – a
greater than 20% improvement over conventional TN* panels. By enhancing
aperture ratios, this new design technology improves luminance while using
the same lamp as preceding models. It also enables the use of a lowerwatt
lamp to achieve the same levels of luminance or smaller HTPS panels to
achieve the same resolution. Thus the new technology makes it possible to
manufacture brighter, more environmentally friendly projectors that offer
outstanding value for money. 33 projectiondesign launches F20 and F30
projectors desired colour and white balance as well as grey scale
tracking. The compact F20 is smallest projector in the projectiondesign
range and is packed with performance features. High resolution images at
1,400 x 1,050 pixels are produced with a brightness of up to 3,300 ANSI
lumens. Three ultrahigh quality projection lenses are available including
a 0.8:1 wide angle lens with both pincushion/barrel adjustment, as well as
focus lock. Designed for space-limited applications and portability, the
projector weighs less than 3 kilos including lens and is the size of an A4
sheet of paper. Its proprietary optical design allows it to be operated
vertically for portrait projection as well as normal horizontal operation.
Epson has developed a new high-temperature polysilicon HTPS liquid crystal
panel that will boost the performance of 3LCD front projectors and
largescreen LCD projection TVs. The company has begun shipping samples of
the 0.7 inch diagonal 1.9 cm panel, which is designed for true- During IS
Europe, Norway’s projectiondesign launched new F30 and F20 series
projectors that produce unmatched image quality using a combination of
proprietary technologies matched with Texas Instruments SXGA+ resolution
DLP and BrilliantColor technologies. BrilliantColor technology ensures
stronger, more saturated colours, enhanced image gradation and tonality.
