NOURYON IMPROVES COATING
AND ADHESIVE PERFORMANCE
IN HARSH ENVIRONMENTS
BHC LAUNCHES SOLUTION TO SPATTER AND SLAG
Spatter buildup during the laser cutting or welding process is messy, creates
extra work prepping parts, and slows the manufacturing process. The use of a
spatter release agent prevents the accumulation of spatter and solves these
problems.
BHC says its AquaVantage Anti-Spatter
Nouryon has introduced Thioplast EPS
35, a solution that enables highperformance
coatings and adhesives to
withstand harsh environments in the
construction, automotive, aerospace,
marine, and energy industries.
" Nouryon's customers work in some
of the world's most challenging
environments, " says Sylvia Winkel
Pettersson, Vice President Engineered
Polymers at Nouryon. " We are proud to
support them with a solution that
protects their assets under extreme
conditions, enhances durability,
reduces maintenance and thereby
delivers significant savings and safety
benefits. "
Thioplast EPS 35 is a highperformance
modifier for
formulations, Nouryon says. It
combines the capabilities of various
epoxy modifiers in one product,
enabling customers to achieve durable
coatings and adhesives while reducing
the complexity of their formulations.
" The properties of Thioplast EPS 35
make it ideal for a variety of
demanding applications and
challenging surfaces, " says Carlos
Alva, Business Manager Polysulfides at
Nouryon. " These include coatings on
offshore wind turbines, pipelines,
aircraft, oil and fuel tanks, and durable
epoxy resin floor coatings, as well as
specialty adhesives such as those used
in the automotive and electrical
industries. "

protects work pieces from cutting spatter and
slag while eliminating costly spatter removal.
An aqueous blend of surfactants and other
additives designed specifically for preventing
metal spatter and slag from adhering to sheet
metal panels, profiles, supports, and internal
cavities during the laser cutting process, it is a
ready-to-use solution that does not require
dilution. When applied, it leaves an even,
thick coating on the surface. AquaVantage
Anti-Spatter is easily removed from metal
surfaces using Brulin immersion or spray-wash
aqueous detergents.
The company says the solution does not burn or discolor under intense laser
cutting conditions; releases no foul odors or smoke; does not contain any
solvents; and is silicone-free, non-flammable, and REACH compliant.

SAMES KREMLIN LAUNCHES
NEW MANUAL POWDER
SYSTEMS RANGE
SAMES KREMLIN has launched a new
complete range of manual powder
systems called the Inocoat powder
range.
The company says the signature of
the new range is its TEC5 technology
that " sets new standards " in
electrostatic performance. A new high
voltage cascade and closed loop
control enhances the wrap-around
effect and penetration in recessed
areas. The manual range is centered
around the Inogun M manual gun
which is controlled by the Inobox with
an intuitive and user-friendly
graphic interface.
There are four different versions
available to cover all process needs
from regular to metallic and UV
powders.
" The streamlined design was a key
component for achieving these
innovative, robust, and maneuverable
systems, " SAMES KREMLIN says.
