Under the leadership of our President Graham Douglas
and many others, there is a revitalization within CASF
that's a pleasure to be a part of. Although we've previously
discussed our new website, www.casf.ca, I wanted to
take a moment to give you a little more information. Mike
Kuntz and his Technology & Communications team have
finished the new website, working with Adam Wieckowski
of Vziondesigns.ca and have introduced a real winner that
is light years ahead of what we believed was a pretty good
website to begin with. It's much more intuitive and allencompassing
with many more sections and is packed
with logically laid out information. We even provide access
to back editions of this magazine.
We've provided easy access to online forms for membership
renewal, course enrollment, golf and conference sign-ups,
all with payment options, and much more. We have also
started a members-only section with password protection.
We feel that this website has become the go-to place for
our industry for technical and other information and that
this is a privilege our loyal CASF members have earned.

Also, for the first time, we are offering our members the
opportunity to place Want Ads on our website following
much demand. So, if you're not currently a CASF member,
what are you waiting for? Go online and easily sign up!
Regarding our September 21 golf tournament in
Cambridge, ON, all holes and events were sold out in
April and given the current sign up rate, we believe this
tournament will be our best ever. The pent-up demand is
overwhelming and since we're limited to 144 golfers for
this shotgun, best ball tournament, if you want to play you
need to get onto our website and sign up quickly! Perhaps
by the time you read this it might be too late and if so,
please accept our apologies. You may still sign up for the
dinner and prizes.
Our Danielle Miousse is busy translating the CASF
Introduction to Electroplating course into French so that
we can offer it online and we are still on track for a Fall
course, perhaps in both national languages. Danielle
is a fully credited course leader with the NASF and our
plan, based on demand, is to run the CEF-level courses
eventually, too.
