PLATING AND ANODIZING: TESTING
2. Any greater capacity to download or store data?
The redesigned PosiTector 6000 series of coating thickness
gages have an increased measurement capacity of 1,000 readings
for Standard gages and up to 250,000 readings for Advanced
gage bodies. This means that a user taking one measurement per
second could measure continuously for nearly three days before
running out of memory!
Collecting and storing data isn't the end of the story for
most inspectors. The data needs to be archived and reported
to the customer or owner. DeFelsko instruments offer data
management solutions for even the most advanced software
integrations from wired USB to WIFI wireless technology.
Accessing your stored or live streaming data is simpler and more
flexible than before.
3. Is ergonomics important?
Absolutely - the recently redesigned PosiTector gage body
features a new ergonomic design with a durable rubberized grip
for comfortable, all-day inspection. Additionally, the Telescopic
Probe Extender accessory allows for one-handed operation in
tight or hard-to-reach areas, saving the operator from having to
bend, kneel, or reach.
4. Are people now adopting cellphone downloads
via an app?
DeFelsko offers an easy-to-use mobile app (iOS/Android) that
connects to your PosiTector Advanced, PosiTector SmartLink, or
PosiTest AT-A Automatic Adhesion Testers. Take full advantage
of your smart device's features, including touchscreen, keyboard,
camera, and more, with the PosiTector App.
The cloud-based PosiSoft.net offers secure measurement
data storage, including jobs, batches, readings, and report
templates. Upload measurements directly from WiFi-connected
instruments and share the data with multiple computers.
5. Does DeFelsko have a wish list of features they
would like to offer or that the market is looking for?
DeFelsko is constantly looking to improve the inspection
instruments that we manufacture. Recent updates to the
PosiTector gage body include backward compatibility for all
PosiTector probes manufactured since 2012, new additions and
improvements to our suite of PosiSoft Software solutions, and
networking and outreach initiatives through networking and
outreach initiatives tradeshows and training events-we are
committed to serving the coatings and inspection industries.
We would not be where we are today without listening to our
customer's feedback and answering their needs.
Modern portable measurement equipment relies on the
continuous reduction of their primary pieces to function
well. Because the algorithms are continually being refined
and improved, their accuracy increases year after year.
Manufacturing companies that produce testing equipment
are constantly improving and expanding their product lines,
whether they are producing equipment for colour analysis, layer
thickness measurement, material analysis, or material testing,
among other aspects. Users should efficiently measure and
manage the coating requirements of any task they perform with
such a varied array of coating alternatives.
