ROSS LAUNCHES THE X-SERIES MIXER
The ROSS X-Series Inline Ultra-High Shear Mixer is
designed for emulsification, dispersion, and homogenization.
Available in both sanitary and industrial configurations, this
versatile machine produces quality dispersions, suspensions
and emulsions in various industries, including food, cosmetic,
pharmaceutical, chemical, adhesive and composites
manufacturing.
ROSS' Model HSM-409XSHD-125 is a CIP-capable sanitary
mixer featuring a type 316 stainless steel mixing chamber, a
150-psig jacket for cooling and heating up to 250 deg. F, and an
X-5 Series 9-in. diameter AL6XN stainless steel rotor/stator that
operates up to 5700 rpm (13,430 feet/min tip speed).
The X-Series mix head is a patented design made up of
concentric rows of intermeshing teeth- the product enters at
the middle of the stator and travels outward through the radial
channels. Every pass through the rotor/stator exposes the
product to tremendous shear due to the combination of very
tight tolerances
and extremely
high tip speeds.
Compared
to traditional
colloid mills,
the X-Series
routinely
achieves a
higher reduction
in droplet or
agglomerate
size.
AXALTA LAUNCHES IMRON
INDUSTRIAL ULTRA 2.8 VOC
TOPCOAT IN NORTH AMERICA
Axalta has launched Imron Industrial Ultra 2.8 VOC
Topcoat, an enhanced urethane topcoat to support
the agriculture, construction and earthmoving
equipment (ACE) market segments. The new
technology offers low VOC emissions and a faster
cure when compared to other urethane topcoats.
Imron Industrial Ultra can be applied over epoxy
and urethane undercoats while providing double
the pot life of other urethane topcoats minimizing
material waste. In addition, it was developed to
meet the industry's most stringent ACE weathering
and performance criteria.
" Axalta is expanding its Imron Industrial product
line to better serve the agriculture, construction
and earthmoving equipment market, " said Dave
Heflin, Vice President of General Industrial
Americas at Axalta. " The addition of Imron
Industrial Ultra validates Axalta's commitment to
continually deliver an advanced, durable coating
system with improved user-friendly capabilities
that provides protection and extends the life of
equipment in harsh, corrosive environments. "
AKZONOBEL DEBUTS NEW INTERPON FUTURA COLLECTION
AkzoNobel Powder Coatings has launched its Interpon
Futura Collection for 2022-2025, revealing three brand
new colour palettes - Merging Worlds, Healing Nature and
Soft Abstraction - helping designers connect to the latest
developments in the built environment.
The new collection results from rigorous testing and
scientific research by AkzoNobel's trend and colour
specialists across multiple industries, particularly those
involved in the building and construction sector. It is also
the result of more than two decades of evolution. During
this time, the collections have inspired innovative designs
worldwide.
Launched with the promise to 'Futura your world,' the new
range delivers a superdurable performance with a warranty
of up to 25-years, enabling architectural creations to stand
the test of time. With a building's legacy determined by its
ability to withstand its surroundings, the durability provided
by Interpon powder coatings reflects the brand's proven
commitment to sustainability and the environment.
The collection uses no solvent emissions or volatile
organic compounds as a powder coating. It supports
AkzoNobel's broader sustainability programme: People.
Planet. Paint. This has seen the company commit to
eliminating carbon emissions by 50 percent in the value chain
and using 100 percent renewable energy by 2030. It looks to
lead a revolution in sustainability. Interpon's architectural
range was also the first range of powder coatings to achieve
an Environmental Product Declaration (EPD).
Bob Dirks, Global Segment Manager Architectural,
AkzoNobel Powder Coatings, says the Interpon Futura
Collection has been created with the future in mind: " Our
new collection provides architects with world-class colours
that enable them to bring their imagination to life. It also
provides a sustainable choice in powder coatings that both
protects buildings and lowers the environmental footprint
compared to other coating solutions. "
The Interpon Futura Collection is now available from stock
to customers in Europe, Africa, the Middle East and will be
launched in North America and Southeast Asia later this
year.
