NEW COLOR2VIEW COMBINES
SPECTROPHOTOMETER AND
FLUORIMETER
By combining several, different measurement methods,
the BYK-Gardner color2view becomes an objective eye
that evaluates our visual colour impression in its entity.
The color2view uses a circumferential illumination at
45-degrees with 0-degrees viewing to measure colour
as you see it. The circumferential illumination from 10
directions ensures repeatable measurement results on
textured surfaces. Simultaneously with colour, 20-degrees
and 60-degrees gloss are measured to clearly differentiate
medium gloss and high gloss samples. In addition,
the color2view has a fluorimeter integrated to predict
lightfastness by quantifying fluorescence-the calculated
colour change after fluorescence degradation is displayed
with easy-to-understand CIELAB- and DE data. The
combination of a spectrophotometer and a fluorimeter
opens completely new perspectives for controlling colour
quality and guaranteeing long-term colour stability. The
color2view Pro offers a Jetness Mode which is specially
designed to measure deep and deepest black with highest
accuracy. It features excellent technical performance
which also is assured for the very low reflectance range R
< 0.1 per cent.
Easy to operate, intuitive navigation and new
functionalities with the " special touch " , the compact and
lightweight instrument can be easily rotated to adapt the
orientation to the users personal needs or sample size
and shape. Operation via the brilliant, colour touchscreen
is icon-based and just as intuitive as using a smartphone.
An integrated camera permits a live preview of
the measurement spot. This prevents false readings
on imperfections or scratches and ensures precise
positioning of the sample.
There is a storage compartment for standards, which
ensures that the standards are always at hand and
protected, and a smart sample holder. The sample holder
can be stored flat in the housing of the instrument when
not in use and be parked at several positions on its way
to the measurement area where it touches the sample's
surface gently thanks to the soft-close function. The
color2view X models can be used with interchangeable
apertures to measure small to large samples.

EPSI ENHANCES AD12-S SERIES
EPSI's entire AD12-S series now features
standard slit-back liners-small cut added to
the backing liner during the manufacturing
process. By adding a simple cut to liner it
makes removing the poly disc much easier to
use, more efficient and removes the potential
of damaging the edges of the disc during the
removal process. This is especially useful when
dealing with smaller poly discs.

SAMES' NEW SFLOW
AIRLESS GUN
Sames North America has
launched an evolution of the
current SFlow Airless gun-the
new SFlow 7/8-inch Universal.
The spray gun is available in
both 275 bar (4000 psi) and 470
bar (6820 psi) versions with
two and four-finger triggers.
The ergonomic design offers
flexibility in extreme conditions
and is ideal for handling high
solid content paints and high rich
zinc primers.
The SFlow 7/8-inch Universal body will now have 7/8-inch
threads with new tip bases making it common to the industry
and allowing the use of competition tips.
