Dispersion Lab Opens Doors for Customers

Working together with clients, the dispersion specialists
will review the formulations and optimise the dispersion
process to meet the project objectives. The development and
design team then comes with innovative ideas and longterm
experience in the mixing, dispersing, and grinding
technology. Due to the synergies with BYK Additives the
team can not only provide solutions to the best dispersing
and milling equipment choices but also leverage the additives
knowledge of other staff.
This lab can evaluate different types of laboratory
dissolvers and milling tools as well as measuring the results
such as final particle size, particle size distribution, viscosity,
and other physical and optical properties of a product.

The Chemical Coaters Association International (CCAI) has
released the updated Electrocoating for Industrial Finishing
Applications technical manual. This coil-bound manual
includes new colour graphics and photos. The manual serves

process for efficiency and profit, along with maintenance
and troubleshooting suggestions.

VMA Dispersion Laboratory located in Wallingford, Conn.
at its Additives Research Facility. This lab facility has the
capability of performing product dispersion and bead mill
demonstrations for a wide-variety of markets-ranging from
inks and coatings to battery development, cosmetics, food
and pharma, as well as emerging markets such as 3D print
media and CBD health applications.
