boating ontario CLEAN MARINE PROGRAM The Clean Marine Environmental Best Practices Program was originally launched in 1995 with a modest slate of goals and a foundational commitment to businesses who committed to acting as stewards of the water. 2021 brought forward a completely refreshed program with a new brand identity and an updated commitment to the market and the consumers we serve. All accredited facilities receive an in person audit every 4th season where they are given the opportunity to grow within the program's rankings. Businesses whose core practices have moved away from the criteria of Clean Marine are removed from the program and asked to take down any branding. In 2022 we watched proudly as over 40 members grew within the program - thanks in part to the audits 'deficiencies create opportunities' approach. Members are given a modest amount of time post audit, to address identified areas of concern and raise their position. That means that you can trust that as owners and professionals, we join the Clean Marine program voluntarily to promote the best environmental practices to our customers, communities and within our facilities.
